Big numbers coming in for NO now, Glasgow will have to be a big YES to counteract this.

If Glasgow get anything under a 90% to 10% win for YES, it's all over..... so it's essentially all over.

Funny thing is that both Sky & BBC got the predictions for some areas, like Aberdeen, Angus and East Midlothian very wrong.

How anyone thought Aberdeen, the richest city in Scotland and one backboned by the petro-chemical industry, would vote Yes, is beyond me.

Bollocks to his only being a Lord. He'll probably be The Duke of WhatEverHeBloodyWellFeelsLike, once Her Maj is done with him.

Looks like the No campaigners will be the ones going to bed happy. Fairly comprehensive win too. Probably would have been an even easier win, if the No campaigners (especially those south of the border) got their arses in gear sooner.

    Nighty poo ya'll.

45% against more than voted from Cameron as PM

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,477 ✭✭✭grenache

No have won. Arise Sir David Cameron. The man who saved the Union.

Not really, he has only managed to postpone the inevitable - full devolution which down the line will lead to a second independence referendum that will pass. 30 years ago, there isn't a hope in hell that 45% of Scottish electorate would have voted to leave the UK, but that's what happened tonight.

This is only just the beginning. The wheels of independence have been set firmly in motion....

PMs get a peerage upon retirement. Almost losing a country probably doesn't qualify as distinguished service. I like Dave - he starts his PMship by losing a child down the local and almost finishes up by losing a country. He brings us losers hope for the future.

They sure will try though! Yes only had any sense of power and begging from Westminster before the vote, now all sorts of tricks can begin.
