Anyone think Mignolet could have done a little better perhaps

Because of the situation he was a good bit off his line which meant he was flat-footed as Ba came in, he couldn't go at Ba to pressure him either.

Won't be getting anything from Chelsea today. They play for frustration and it works. Not that they have been bad, mind.

Ah well. That's that so, next year lads.

    The irony.

Can't see us scoring against this lot. Need to win our last 2 games and hope. The nerves will be immense against Palace next weekend though.

I'll be honest and say I haven't seen the Flanagan incident today, but with what you've just said, would you then agree that Liverpool's first penalty against West Ham after a handball by Tomkins was also harsh?
Well what with it being completely different, I would say no. The ball was lashed past him and he was turning his back to get a block when it hit his arm that was turning away with his body as opposed to sticking an arm out to stop a ball.

Sturridge to be launched from the start of the second half I imagine.

    What's justice about it?

he loves passing the ball to Chelsea

Ba is starting to make a habit of stepping up to make a difference in big games. Not exactly a big-game player of Drogba proportions, but impressive nonetheless.

You have to admit Chelsea deserve their lead the only team trying to play in that half.

Poor aul stevie, will have to go balls out in the second half now. Sturridge on for lucas please

Honestly a draw and it's still in pools hands, one goal.

Tactics spot on from Mourinho whether the Pool fans like it or not

I can't see Liverpool not scoring at some stage

Tactical masterclass from Mourinho in the first half there.

Thank god there's only one Mourinho. Imagine the BPL had 10 or so managers capable of putting on such masterclasses? The league would be unwatchable.

Good finish from Ba. He took it well.
It would have been so easy to make a mess of it.

As a keeper in one and one , the only way a goal def sudnt go in is between the legs. Bad goalkeeping rather than much of finish. That goal was calamity

Nah they won't, it will stay like this or Chelsea will score again on the break.

Johnson and Flanagan are two posistions Liverpool need big upgrades on in the Summer.

Chelsea approached this perfectly tbh. Don't really care bout the time wasting etc...

Hopefully Liverpool will be doing a bit of time wasting of their own in the second half...gonna be hard to score 2 or more against Chelsea though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,603 ✭✭✭grumpymunster

Should be an interesting second half always a goal in Liverpool you feel. We might see Willian at some stage if space opens up a Liverpool push forward
