Wonderful stuff, congrats on an amazing time on home soil and a great report as always. Apart from the usual woes towards the end, this was a spectacularly relaxed sounding race report, even if the time was nowhere near relaxed.

Let's catch up! Post marathon I was quite content to take time off running and enjoy some other pursuits, mainly playing outside. The Saturday following the marathon I wandered to the Farm, more-so for a social visit but decided to try a light session. Because I hadn't done a marathon in 4 years and being somewhat confident of good recovery due to the shoes, I thought it would be ok to try a session but no. My body utterly rejected my advances at running hard so I happily retreated to just jogging for another 10 days or so before trying another session. I've done a few sessions in the past few weeks, still a bit stiff and tired but nothing crazy and mileage is low around the ~50 mark so I'm just feeling my way back into proper training again. No major plans for now, possibly the national track 10k in a few weeks but I've a few Kia race series 10 milers to tackle before that, starting tomorrow with Roscommon! No idea what to expect.
