Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sen Rónán Mullen aka Will from The Inbetweeners

I see his posters all over Naas. He did that little trick of "having a public meeting" so that he could put up his posters before the watershed... Wouldnt have expected such snakey tricks from a man of God..

Does DS run in families or is it a random event?

    What is Down syndrome?

Down syndrome occurs when there is one extra copy of chromosome 21 in cells in the body. Down syndrome is one of the most common congenital chromosomal abnormalities named after the person who first described it.

Did I do anything to cause Down syndrome?

Down syndrome is never anyone’s fault. It just happens.

    Is Down syndrome hereditary?

A very small percentage of all Translocation trisomies are inherited. About 1/100 cases of Down syndrome may be inherited.

For One Night Only is on next on RTE1. It's the Boyzone special. Expect lots of "Steo was like a brudder".

Why do young girls go loopy for boy bands but young lads don't go loopy for girl bands?

As my father would say...'if that's singing, crying must be very sad'.

I thought it would have been obvious to everyone that Shane Lynch was the brains behind the band.. :)

God the 90s were tragically cringe worthy!

How the f**k did Mikey Graham ever get in that band... He cant sing, He's not good looking, he's not likeable in any way, and I've yet to met a girl/woman who likes him.... There needs to be a Seconds From Disaster program on how he got picked for that "band"..

I always thought he was quiet and harmless, but the amount of shoite he spouted on the 'celebrity' apprentice last year, what a spoofer! Comes across as if he hasn't 2 brain cells to rub together the poor eejit!

The Bee Gees were far better songwriters than performers, I think.

I see Fake Female Bass Player got the contract to back Boyzone... I'd if you measured the A/C signal coming out of Shane Lynch's mic and her Bass Amp and joined them together you'd be looking at 0 volts total..

Gately seemed like a terrible nice lad all the same.. I remember Louis Walsh saying that he would always be thanking him for picking him, and how grateful he was for the opportunity he had been given... Loved him singing that "No Matter What" song was well..

He definitely had talent, it's very hard to watch him singing this RIP

You learn something new every day
Gately had spent the evening with his partner Cowles at the Black Cat club in Majorca's capital Palma. They returned home with someone that they had met that night, Bulgarian Georgi Dochev. Dochev stayed in the spare bedroom.[46][47] According to Dochev, he discovered Gately's body lying on a sofa as he was about to leave. He woke Cowles, who was sleeping alone in the couple's bedroom.[18][48][49] However, Gately's solicitor and family friend, Gerald Kean, insisted Cowles was the one who found Gately's body.[47] Spanish police were alerted at 1:45 pm by Cowles, after he had tried to revive Gately.[50] Gately was squatting in an awkward way on the sofa, dressed in his pyjamas. Police said they had no reason to believe the death was related to abuse of substances such as drugs or alcohol and no suicide note or signs of violence were located on the corpse.[50] Gerald Kean, acting as spokesman for the Gately family, said that foul play and suicide had been ruled out, describing it as "just a tragic accident".[51] It was Kean, Gately's solicitor throughout his career, who informed Ronan Keating that Gately had died.[42]

Song kind of reminds me of Webber's other song .. the one for the Barcelona Olympics.. I think it's the beat that is similar.

For One Night Only is a good format ... get a singer/band to play their hits and ask them a few questions.

Much better than most episodes of the SNS

Art Garfunkel singing Bright Eyes on BBC4 now, coincidentally.

    I preferred Stephen's version.
