If it's in Florida, it probably doesn't belong to this guy:

Thanks, but it's on irish plates unless I'm mistaken. Tatra cool shape

It seems like it's an Irish plate...

btw. in that vid the lic. plate on that Tatra T87 says "OSMIVLC", which is actually shortened czech word for "eight cylinder". That is really very, very cool feature.

I've always been surprised that Tatras have such a high profile in the US classic scene. They keep popping up on brings trailer etc.

I used to see that car around Dublin (as well as the two mentioned above, on Burlington Road). Sad that all the interesting stuff is being exported (even though many of them, like this one, were imports in the first place).

I'd say that the car has been registered in Florida, but FL, like many states, doesn't require front reg plates, so with cars that have a "styled-in" mounting place for a front reg, it's common to mount a foreign plate from the car's country of origin, or to leave on whatever plate it was imported with.

There are also two Tatras 603 in Canada (black and silver). The owner left Czechoslovakia in 1968 and bought both of them in 2005 (few years later he bought that Trabant which is in the vid also). Those cars are the only ones in Montreal.

It is Tatra 603. The engine used in the Tatra 603 was indeed an air cooled V8. Air conditioning was not fitted, but the cars had an independent heater situated under the front seat. The car's pleasure to drive. Have a great design. Incredibly spacious. Light steering. Excellent suspension.
