Strange phone calls

Not sure if this is the right forum but today and yesterday I received a phone call on my home landline - the number comes up as unavailable. When answered nobody seems to be on the other end of the line and then an automated voice says goodbye and the call ends. Anyone else get these calls?

Probably computers checking when you answer so a LIVE operator can ring back and bother you!!! (We get them also)
