Hi Cherelle there's a few threads on this here already.
Be prepared for a relatively tough job market, massive influx to the City for the summer and the festival in August (probably easiest time to pick up temping).

You'll most likely be fine with bar/waiting experience. Also keep an eye on http://opportunities.creativescotland.com/ - a lot of the festival venues post ads for ushers etc there, probably starting in the coming month or so.
