    Hey people, hope this is in the right spot, if not, mods please feel free to move.

    I live in around the Liberties area, and was wondering if anyone knew of a history society?

    I have some spare time on my hands this summer and really want to get the local history of the area and don't know where to start.

    Federation of Local History Societies has a list of its members. http://www.localhistory.ie/

    Best bet would seem to be the Old Dublin Society.

    Yes, I'm secretary of one of the societies listed on the FLHS website.
