Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

LOL at the Munich players, typical Guardiola team.

Bayern players seriously need to calm the **** down. The game's gone.

LOL at Robben giving out about Pepe diving.

Yeah. Final is a show case. It's better for

Lawrenson looks like a right tool now, moaning bout Pepe. Instantly shuts up when replay shows ball smashed into his face.

haha. smashed in his face. pathetic for any sort of grown man to pretend to be that hurt from that, let alone a top-class athlete.

    Cheap shot by Ribery.

Cards should be wiped before the semi's, if you get a yellow in each leg of the semi then tough titty.

Have Madrid been THAT good or have Bayern just been atrocious?

Be too much to hope for that Pepe gets sent off and misses the final. Hate that player with a passion. Close competition between him and Busquets for most hated footballer ever award in my book.

It hit him on the head. Centre halfs don't go down like that.

Madrid have been utterly ruthless is the most accurate way to describe it.

You'd end up with a free for all of technical fouling if there was no consequences. The leading team would be like 10 Didi Hamanns clipping heels on the half way line to break down attacks.

Real Madrid piss me off so much. Great football from a shower of bastards.

Madrid are an absolute disgrace with their antics.

Deserve to be so far ahead but this diving and rolling around is pathetic.

Bayern left the building for the beach after wrapping up their league title..... That's the problem.

They're 4-0 up and cruising. No need for all the timewasting and faking injury.

What about the terrible tackles from Dante and face slapping from Ribery? Thats seen as more manly though right?

Alonso falling victim to the intensity of the game. The Madrid players were just running on adrenaline - do first, think later.

    Feel very sorry for him.

To be fair to Bayern, Real Madrid are probably the best team in the world on paper and have been since Ronaldo joined them.

It was always about getting the right man in the hotseat to get the most out of them. I think Ancelotti is amazing so I'm happy for him, even if I'm not hugely fond of some of Real's players.

So much has been said and written about the game last week, some even have gone as far as to dismiss Guardiola's tiki taka when it comes to the crunch games against the biggest sides. I can't see anything other than Guardiola's Bayern Munich side having a hugely dominant share of the ball tonight, the pressure on the Madrid backline will be relentless and you'd imagine Guardiola will have worked on some facets of their game that didn't quite work last week. I absolutely think Bayern Munich will go through tonight, to stop a side with that much of the ball, with that much quality for another 90 minutes is next to impossible.

Half time. Bayern 0 - 3 Real Madrid

So I'd like to hear more about how much better the Bundesliga is than the PL. In this season's CL 2 German team out in the last 16, one in the quarters and one in the semi. England had 2 out in the last 16, one in the quarters and one in the semis at worst. Meanwhile in the EL a German team failed to qualify, 1 out in the group stage and the last out in the round of 32. English teams went out 1 in the group stage, 1 in the last 32 and 1 in the last 16.

Anyway, great half of football. :)

Great first half by real. They could have got two goals when the keeper was off the line. That keeper likes coming out of his box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,294 ✭✭✭✭rob316

Bayern are absolutely toothless in attack. You have to wonder would they had the league so easy if dortmund hadn't such bad luck with injuries.

Yep. The dream is over as far as you're concerned. Spain's impending defeat this summer will confirm the end of an era.
