Can't access BOL on Chrome, Firefox or Safari?

Due to security risks we have been advised not to use MS Explorer for the foreseeable future. I cannot access business on line on either Chrome, Safari or Firefox, can you please advise?

Bank of Ireland is aware of issues reported in the media in relation to Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and we are in close liaison with our service providers and Microsoft to address this. 

In the interim, access to BOL is not impacted and full service is available. We will update customers in relation to further developments as we are advised.

Would it be fair to say that BOI is advising its customers to ignore best security practise and put their computers at risk by continuing to use Internet Explorer in order to avail of Bank of Ireland services?

So in short, because your website works you think there is no risk to customers. Not only that but you are actively encouraging your customers to continue to use a browser to input sensitive details in the knowledge that they might be stolen and their accounts compromised.

When a/some/lots of your business customers come looking for you to recover and replace any funds that may be misappropriated as a result of this security flaw, will you happily do so without quibble?

I think this is the push I needed to finally move my business account, as without online access it is very close to useless to me.

I guess if you are a Business who uses XP, one should give some serious thought to using BOI Business online website into the future. The reason are, 
1. One has no option but to use IE, even if one wanted to try and use a browser that is being patched for security issues, as they appear. BOI have no plans to change this anytime soon as we have seen on the Forum 
2. Microsoft has confirmed there will be no more updates rolled out for XP and as such the list of risks against IE will more than likely grow. 

While the advice BOI is giving to keep updating and patching your software, is good advice, it does not address the fact that XP users cannot do this and they cannot move to another browser, which is the quick fix to this risk. Maybe the years of not updating online business banking may come back to haunt BOI.
