Turn on RedFM its getting heated around the Southside of the city.
Fair dues to these people sticking up and saying no, ultimately in the end its will be quashed but its good to see it been fought.

Peaceful protests are fine and stopping the installers is ok but there is reports of installers been hurt and one taken to hospital. People are angry but you are doing the cause no favour been aggressive to people just trying to do there job.

I would certainly put the run on any protesters outside my house. I have no issue with paying water charges. What I have an issue with is the possibility of paying charges without being metered.
Irish Water, please come and install a meter outside my house, otherwise I will not pay any charges.

My point is the man interviewed said there were NO residents protesting. They HAD been, but weren't there now.
Are those people in the photo ALL residents? Or are they being marshalled by an outsider who passes his time disrupting law abiding citizens going about their business?

NO residents were interviewed in this clip.

ONE resident interviewed and she wants all her neighbours to support her? How many of them will?

Are they still protesting to the radiation or are they against paying for water?

I haven't heard the radiation, hacking or mind-control nonsense been thrown out for a while. Maybe someone has a little sense and told them to let it be if they want any sort of mainstream support.

I am amazed by the reactions on this here.
References to people on the 'dole' and so on.
You dont have to be on the dole to feel strongly enough about something to protest.
Anyone is entitled to get taken away in an ambulance if that is what is deemed to be required, dole and/or protest or not.

The underlying issues are that people are now expected to pay twice for water.
Other issues of heavy handedness by Police and Contractors, Ionising radiation emanating from non required and non requested meters that are now being forced on people who are willing to stand up and be counted.

As a person who was at previous protests I will say this, I am not on the Dole and the 3 other people that I met that I knew at these protests were not on the Dole.

    Ionising radiation? Nope.

It just doesn't sit well with me the whole thing. You don't even get a letter to say when they are coming they just turn up outside your home and start digging it up.

We aren't paying for water its just another tax plain and simple. The property charge we were told was going into the local councils coughers was actually been used to set up Irish Water.

We still don't know how much its going to cost for sure only figures thrown around in the media. That's the real kicker we are letting these meters be installed without actually knowing how much its going to cost us.

We are been treated like idiots.

    Exactly.
Furthermore any proposed charges for water will be deferred until after the local and euro elections.
