Does BOI offer any other on-line platform for business users, or is BOI-BOL the only offering? For instance, can a business user use Banking 365 instead?

    Hi Del Amitri,

Thank you for contacting us on Boards.

If you are a sole trader and your name is on the business account name, it is possible to use Bank of Ireland 365 Online or Business Online.
However if your business is a separate legal entity, you must use Business Online.

I hope this helps and please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Thanks Sarah, unfortunately it's a LTD company and so it seems we're stuck with BOI-BOL.

Just out of curiosity - when was BOI-BOL first released?

Some of the icons it uses are the stock ones supplied with Microsoft Visual Studio 6, which was released in 1998 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Visual_Studio#Visual_Studio_6.0_.281998.29

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

    When BOI-BOL was launched:
    • Bill Clinton was the president of USA.
    • Hardly anyone had a mobile, but those who did had a Digifone or and Eircell (almost certainly a Nokia or and Ericksson)
    • Less than half the episodes of "Friends" had even been made yet.
    • Titanic was doing well in the cinemas
    • Oasis were still regularly getting number ones
    • The Good Friday Agreement had not yet been signed
    • TV3 didn't exist
    • Tony Blair had just swept to power, as had Bertie Ahern
    • The currency of Ireland was still the Punt
    • Justin Beiber was just 2 years old
    • Gay Byrne was still presenting the Late, Late show.
    • Google didn't exist!
    • Facebook wouldn't even be thought of for another 6 years!
    • Microsoft had not yet released Windows 98 - the world was still using Windows 95 or Windows 3.1
    • and People actually still used Internet Explorer and Java
    [*]

Do you see where I'm going with this? Isn't a about time BOI-BOL got an overhaul?
