Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi guys, in the end I took a week off from running and back to it tonight. I am hopeful that this break will help with the sore legs... actually feel guilty not having run in so long and fearful that it was just a phase.

To DubOnHoliday and races... I dunno, my aim was to be able to run 10k by August but I kinda hammered that... Aim now is to be able to run 10k very comfortably which may mean moving to 14k or so and then hitting better times on the 10k.

I dont see myself aiming for mini marathons etc... just take way too long!

Oh dear, you're gonna get hammered for that comment :D

Seriously though, the "mini-marathon" is a 10k race, contentious use of the word marathon has been discussed to death on here.
I believe you're referring to a half-marathon, uncontentious as it specifically refers to half the marathon distance.

Don't worry, you'll learn the lingo over time.
