14 years ago my brother found an advert in the Buy and Sell giving away a Boarder Collie called Sonic. The dog was from a guy who lived in Bray, at the time Sonic was four years old. He quickly became one of our family and was the most amazing dog ever. He provided us with so much entertainment from running onto football pitches and steeling their ball to scaling 7 foot walls. He would walk us to the bus stop for school and collect us from it, on his own! He knew when anyone was sick and stayed by their side, he looked after us, as much as we looked after him.

He made us go from a family who never had a dog before to a family of absolute dog lovers. He provided us with so many funny stories. After a long adventurous life, Sonic died last weekend and it was very emotional for us all. Unfortunately my mam doesn't remember the mans contact details from whom we got Sonic, but if by any chance you read this. We want to thank you so much for giving us Sonic!! He had a great long life and will always remain a part of us.

What a lovely story. I am so sorry for the loss of Sonic, but what a lucky boy he was to find such a loving family, just as you were lucky to have him in your lives.
We all dread the day when we have to say goodbye to a beloved fur baby, but it helps to have such wonderful memories.
    RIP Sonic.
