Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just looked initially like Howard jumped very late, but yeah, it was a good header.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Having just saw it there again I agree.
It was a cracking header, placed to perfection and bouncing just in front of Howard's fully outstretched arm. Nothing he could do about it. Some of the stuff being posted on here is bizarre.

Alcaraz needs taking off and given a free to anyone who will take him

They know what they're doing playing Oasis at half time, it's not coincidence.

I'm not criticising them, by the way. Just a bit of banter on their part.

    Pretty funny actually

Everton have been grand but don't look like they gave another goal in them

Arsenal have a home game against WBA who have nothing to play for
And an away game against Norwich who'll be already relegated by then.
Champions League has been gone for the last week.

    until it's impossible, it's possible.

Arsenal are more than capable of fúcking up.

If the players and/or fans actually believe it's over, then they're complete morons.

They also don't want their team to have a chance of champions league football.

We don't call them the bitters for nothing.

    More of the usual rubbish.

Think Everton will get a draw here which suits no one.

    Can think of one team...

The Everton players couldn't give a ****e about Liverpool possibly winning the league and losing on purpose. Only two are actually from the area. They're all trying to win. However, they're missing a few key players in an already small squad with Champions League qualification out of their grasp and City are going all out for the title. It happens.

Ah I didn't have you pegged for one of those Ric. What was Gerrard's excuse a couple of years back against City if that's the case. Would it be merely justice for that?

I don't actually believe anyone's throwing the game, but I am annoyed at the lack of effort from Everton. and Howard was v poor indeed.

it's not the team who played Arsenal or Utd, or even Liverpool at home.

Can't see Everton ( or Liverpool :pac:) getting anything from this. Still some goal from Barkley.

What a save from Hart. That was going in!

That's what happens to a team that's forced to play with naismith, alcarez and osman due to injuries.

    Should have been 2-2

Even if Naismith had scored, City are never going to give it up, in fairness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Everton fans really are refusing to support their own team here. This is weird.

I'd agree with this. Of course the players want to win. But the strange atmosphere is getting to them as well I'd say. They're not getting the same level of home support they usual get which can help drive them on.

I seem to remember 2009/10 when Liverpool had a far better chance of CL than we have now, and on their last home game of the season against Chelsea, where a Liverpool defeat would deny Man Utd the title - the atmosphere was EXACTLY the same as this....Gerrard gifted Chelsea a goal (again)...and the "Cockney for a day" flag brigade weren't exactly distraught!

    How easy they forget!

There's the new Gerrard song, anyway :pac:

Everton fans singing Gerrard songs. Small time or what!!

Can't see them getting back into this

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 6,162 ✭✭✭Augmerson

Are they singing he slips from 40 yards about Gerrard?
