Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A good hiding is the order of the day here. I know a fair few decent Sunderland fans and there's a few decent lads on here but I really don't like Gus Poyet so sorry, hope it's an absolute tonking in United's favour.

Are the pies and hotdogs in Old Trafford halal or non-halal zerks?

Sunderland are usually decent for taking points from City. Useless this season but I'd keep them around.

^^You could say the same about Utd!

Rooney reported to be out and if Van Persie plays he won't be anywhere near match fit (although still a huge threat). It's shaping up to be good for Sunderland on paper, but with the Giggs factor still in play I wouldn't be too confident of getting anything.

3 points would see us almost safe, though anything at all from this match would be a massive bonus and won't be a game which defines whether we stay up or not. Those will be home games to West Brom during the week and Swansea next weekend. I'd be ecstatic with a point but I feel we'll lose by one. 2-1 United.

On another note I have seen lots of kids posting about how this is some big revenge game (compiling revenge posters etc) for United due to City winning the league in 2011-2012 and a section of Sunderland fans baiting them. Very strange.

Any excuse to post this, cracking video of the penalty shootout from our last visit to Old Trafford in January. Am American recorded it, perfect quality and shows the fans emotions really well. Crank it up to the HD setting:

Team I think will start tomorrow given injuries are accurate.
    De Gea
    Jones. Rio. Vidic. Evra.
    Tony V. Carrick Fletcher. Januzai.
    Mata
    Wellbeck.
Think Januzai will get a run as Giggs may be a father figure to him,god knows the randy divil may even be his dad;)

Sunderland on a run of 3 excellent results. United have nothing to play for, wouldn't be surprised at a Sunderland win.

    2-2

Nani looks sharp enough, frustrating at times but rather watch him try make something than Tony Young do nothing

Nice to see Carrick passing the ball forward, and getting himself into attacking positions!

Young's crossing today hasn't been bad, 2 or 3 good balls in

How many crosses is that now?

    Sunderland looking disciplined

Young is doing well getting round players, but is useless doing anything after that...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Utd problem is that Spurs lost, so if Utd win they could end up in the Europa League - ergo Utd need to match Spurs today and next week. ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

No tempo to uniteds play at all. Get Rvp on at half time.

This formation would also work better if Nani had played more than once or twice this year, he looks a bit lost, but then again, given how isolated everyone is and only him and Mata capable of producing something out of nothing.

carrack looks like he has gone on holidays already

Two nice crosses from chic. Shame no one there to get on the end of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

And still no sign of any fight when we go behind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,385 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Webb is such a shìt ref.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Carrick is a liability today, Fletcher looks lost, Young's final ball is useless. Nani, Mata and Hernadez need more support.

Looks like they aint playing for Giggs now.... oh wait they are just pure muck half of em...
