Okay, Order looks cool. Even if it is just scripted almost pure QTE scene.

Right, I can really say now that CGI trailers should just feck off. I am watching Little big planet 3 presentation and it is just awesome, fun and shows off game perfectly.

You will not enjoy the rest of the presentation then.

I hated the line 'The 1st thing we did was ask the gamers what they wanted from the Mass Effect series' No..No...NOOOOO. Just make the game as good as you can and let people judge it when it's finished. No point trying to please everyone, will end up a mess. Fan feedback can be great an all but not to shape a product from the beginning.

I'd say that was just bull**** to appease fans.

They've made a series of very successful games. I don't think they'd start second-guessing themselves now.

    Can't wait for that.

It showed coming to Vita/PS4 beside the 4 games :D

    Just got the video there

The last game is PS4 only but the rest are PS4//Vita.

All the 2D games look really good imo. No idea on the last one.

but don't forget they are indicative of actual gameplay (not aimed at you btw)

Rainbow Six: Patriots, the controversial, long-delayed anti-terrorism shooter, is officially, and permanently dead, Ubisoft confirmed this week.

"It's not in development anymore," said Alexandre Remy, Rainbow Six brand director. "The main decision was some months after Patriots was announced in 2011 that was the first moment we knew the first generation of new consoles were coming. So obviously at that moment and for a franchise such as Rainbow we needed to decide if we could make something for next-gen and we were already pretty advanced in the development of Patriots.

Rainbow Six : Siege looked really good last night, wonder how much they recycled if any from Patriots though.

Very little I'd imagine. I'd say Patriots would have been similar to Vegas, 3 man up against 2 thousand terrorists. This is better, like the Police Swat series.

Why are you bringing this argument up again? He said it CAN be indicative of actual gameplay, not that they were. You said it CANNOT be indicative of gameplay, which is incorrect.

You can think what ever you want about Dead Island crowd, but feckers know how to make trailers.

Yeah, cannot wait for this game, looked great! Though I'd imagine the main tactic will be "Shoot all the walls down"

Rich coming from the man who argued himself into the ground about a CGI Mortal Kombat trailer actually being a gameplay trailer. :pac:

Surprised more people are not talking about ABZU, it is being done by the same Art Director of Journey, Matt Nava.

I do love that Sony will give as much stage time and place as much importance on something like Entwined as they do with the big budget games like The Order and Destiny.

    Was it here:

Does anyone take them to be anything other than announcement cinematics though? They're not intended to be out forward as gameplay, and there are very clear naming conventions to differentiate what each kind of footage is.

I wouldn't call cgi false advertising, I'd call it pointless as an indicator of anything other than story and tone

    here?

Of course it can, it just usually doesn't

Neither are a good indicator. Not even hands on time at e3 is reliable. These guys are very good at polishing their demo sections very very well

    or here?
    COYVB wrote: »
Even the gameplay videos from e3 can't be trusted. The important things are the games that are announced, their exclusivity or whether they're multi platform, who's developing them and what their pedigree is.

Anyone expecting to take anything more reliable than that from e3 is codding themselves, and it's every bit as bad on and off the show floor for some games

just so I fully follow, you know

Yeah that was a brilliant trailer.....but wait until the game is released and it turns out you can't even go jogging while listening to an mp3 player, there will be uproar!

It really does look like a Journey sequel and that music...

Not sure if there is enough gameplay shown for team IRL XB

    Lol, true.

This is the issue I got with CGI trailer like this. Its plain awesome and stupidly fun. At the same time, we got nothing on actual game and how it will play.
I might be too harsh on CGI trailers. It works if it is presented with actual gameplay, but it is exrtremely frustrating when they just throw a CGI trailer with zero gameplay or actual info on game. Its like taking 5 Viagra pills and then just tryng to go to sleep, because the hooker you ordered decided to take day off till next year. :pac:

Her name is Ubisoft! Advetised as DD+ cup, but its bearly B+ on arrival. Well, at least she is adventures and likes to try out new things! :pac::p

The mods on PC will be unreal. Im hoping for some DLC announcements soon or online heists when it launches for next gen

    Yes :pac:
But to be serious it's still going to be the same game. It's just a port sadly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,790 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Oh man, I just heard that Xbox 360 users can transfer their GTA V save files over to PS4. Not sure if PS3 can move over to Xbox one but if not, nicely played Sony!

Yes, I'm hoping for more preds on the street, and an increased number of online players in a session.

Would like to get it on the PC, but I'd be concerned about it's performance, so likely PS4 for me.

Edit: In fact I'm surprised they didn't announce DLC for it.

Personally I like CGI trailers. Some of my favourite trailers are CGI.

As someone said earlier they generally set the story, tone and give you an idea of the gameplay.

I doubt anyone who watches E3 would actually think they are indicative of the final product. In fact I'd like to think we are all well aware gameplay at E3 is not even indicative of the final product. But it gives us a good idea.

Seems to be an awful lot of people getting excited for little more than ports from the previous gen of consoles.
As much as I liked The Last of Us, I have no desire to play it through again, while the visuals will get nicer the gameplay ain't gonna change, and it'll be the same for the rest of them, regardless of console.
