Food Regulations/compliance

Im bringing a new chewing gum product in from Canada. Im wondering if I need this product to pass any compliances?, or is there any regulations as regards to gums in europe/EU that I need to pass before I can bring in such a product. Perhaps someone here would have some knowledge on it!

Be careful on the labelling. New FIR regulations are in force from December this year.
