Switching Course

Hi, I just finished my first year of BESS but have applied to switch into a different course at the start of next year. This means I'd be back in JF and would have to pay full fees. My question is, do I have to pay full fees for the one year, or for the full four?
    Thanks.

I think you have to pay the full fees for JF, so the 7k and the 2k again. But I'm not too sure on it. But I don't think you have to pay for the years that you didn't do. Email your tutor about it, you can find their email on mytcd.ie in your student record.

The fees depend on the course. You can find the fees prices somewhere on the site. They vary from course to course. Maybe you should call the academic registry and ask for advice.

I'm almost sure the principle is that you can't get the same year free twice, but after that you can revert back to free fees.

You'll have to pay for first year (JF) again but the rest after that will be free. You get one "first year", one "second year", one "third year", etc. so any repeats are at your own expense.

Yup, you'll just have to pay for JF again, that's how it worked when I switched. And you can pay in two instalments! Good luck with the new course :)
