Computer applications DCU

    Is computer applications in DCU well known internationally in USA, Canada etc

    It is as well know as any other computing course in the country (not really).. When you are going for a job in computers they only really care about what you have done and can do because of it, not the institution you have done it in (unless your running the Summit, though he likes DCU). DCU is a good computing degree to have on Irish soil, if you plan to go to the US or Canada, no college here will give you a leg up over there. It will be based on your what you know and if you can sell yourself.

    DCU is a more practical based Computing course (or at least it was when I did it). The other colleges focus a lot more on the theoretical aspect of computing while in DCU you will find yourself spending a lot of time in the labs applying your knowledge and swearing you wont leave it all to the last minute next time (hell week). I personally transferred from DIT to DCU because of this.
