Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelseas last home game of the season sees Norwich visit the Bridge.

Norwich are currently 17th and in desperate need for points as Sunderland are ahead on GD and have a game in hand, away to Man Utd.

A Chelsea win will push them top of the league and also make 3rd safe from Arsenal who can finish as highest as 4th if Chelsea win.

Interesting stat, Chelsea have won all 10 games played on a Sunday this season, and the last 13 stretching back to a 2-2 draw at Liverpool in April 2013.

Chelsea to bounce back after Wednesday nite 3-0

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,200 ✭✭✭Garzorico

Depending on the result between Citeh and Everton I reckon Jose will go all out for goals. Our GD is about 7/8 worse than Liverpools...if we score a bucketload it will mean Liverpool cannot afford to draw against Crystal Palace coz GD will not be an issue anymore - points will. Imagine winning it on GD from Liverpool.

Score prediction: 0-8 (if Citeh dot win). 0-2 If they do.

Ive never seen Chelsea lose at the Bridge so hopefully it wont change, although my last game, the West Ham one, was horrific. :pac:

Hoping for a win and to avoid another West Ham display. :o

Don't know why but I have sneaky feeling Norwich can nick a point

They really need to win this game so I expect them to try and keep us out for as long as possible and hope for a break at the other end.

I'd take a win, top for 24 hours might put pressure on the Pool

Please finish the job for us Sunderland fans tomorrow. Thanks lads :)

I wonder will Hazard start today :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 429 ✭✭BarcodeMuncher

Chelsea: Schwarzer; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole; Lampard, Matic; Salah, Willian, Schurrle; Ba

Would like to have seen Van Ginkel in there with Matic, lets hope Hazard on the bench does not prelude something and Dave gets a well deserved rest

Almost as nervous for this as I was for our own game yesterday  Come on Chelsea!

    That's a penalty all day.

    Definite penalty.

Stonewall penalty. If Chelsea want to start playing any time now that would be much appreciated.

His heavy touch made it easier for the ref.

I hope Jose makes a point of thanking Mr. Swarbrick for that one.

    For **** sake Ba.

I don't remember the standard of refereeing ever being as bad as it is now. That was as nailed on a penalty as you are going to get.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Norwich showing fight at least. More then Fulham or Cardiff did.

Absurdly awful decision to not give a pen. Didn't see any replays that might show the ref was obstructed but it was as stonewall a pen you'll ever see.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Very unlucky Schurrle. Great steal and through ball by Matic.

I agree, I think a few teams have really benefited from it this season too.

Norwich haven't been bad in fairness but if I was a Norwich fan I would be furious....why only start putting in a gutsy performance now?

It may well be enough for them to only turn up now.

Arsenal will rest the vast majority of their first team next week so there's a very good chance of 3 points for Norwich. If they take 1 or 3 points here then Sunderland need points which will be tough considering our home form.

    Nailed on.

Demba Ba has no business being at a Top 4 club.

I am a Norwich fan and it is infuriating to see but it's the story of our season. We've been abysmal at times then when Hughton was under pressure the players play out of their skins and get a win to prolong the pain. It was a correct call to sack Hughton but too little too late.

    Jesus Double sub.

Lampard was very poor in the first half. No harm to see Luiz on.

Hazard on for Salah as well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Woof great shot from Luiz off the crossbar.

So if Hazard scores is it Mourinho the genius?

    Or

Mourinho who had to swallow his pride?

Or he's getting 45 mins on a comeback from injury and wasn't fit to start against Atletico on Wednesday.

Another penalty shout not given. Terrible ref.

Swarbrick's old school refereeing doesn't really belong in today's game if everybody else does it differently.
