Going on holidays to Spain - Help with Absinthe?

    Hi guys, im heading to spain this friday. Were stopping in Barcelona for a tour and then heading to salou to the hotel. I was hoping to bring back a few bottles of Absinthe seeing as its not available in Ireland, wheres the easiest to get it in Barcelona? Is there off licence like ireland, or Supermarkets that sell it? Im hoping to get the strong 89.9% percent stuff. Thanks

    You can buy Absinthe in Ireland. Celtic Whiskey shop has a few from what I can remember.

    The highest theyl offer is 40%, im looking for the strong stuff :) plus im going to spain so may aswel. Just if anyone has been there and know where it can be got, or if its easily available

    Should be easy enough got in specialist drink shops. Failing that, I've bought Mari Mayans (my favourite brand) at the airport.

    Agreed definitely saw it in there when I was last in along with 90-95% alcohol poitin. The price of the strong stuff would make you cry. :eek:

    There's an absinthe bar at Carrer Sant Carles 36 in El Rabal. They sell their own stuff. You might also try the more crumby corner shops and tourist shops. Been a while since I lived there though.

    Plenty of strong stuff available here.

    I have seen limits for high % on flights, this might have been before the stupid liquid bans on planes though, I think you could always bring it through in non-carry on luggage, which you will be forced to do now.
