Lately i have been finding a lot of Jobs require me to have certificates to show i am capable of using Programmes like Excel or Sapand a few other business type programmes.

Personally i would be ok with word and excel without a course to back me up but since certs are becoming so essential can anyone advise me where i can sign up to a few computing courses with decent certificates at the end. I would prefer to do online courses but anything would do at this stage.

    Thanks for the help

    Hi OP,

Where are you located in the country? That's important. There are possibly a few online courses you can do, but you will have to sit official exams if you want official accreditation.

    Regards,
    Brian.

Do the Comptia A+ certifications. You can buy all the study meterial you need fairly cheaply.

It really depends on what the job you are going for needs.

You say the require Excel? Then the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) course would be a much better choice than A+.

A+ covers hardware repair and basic computer systems theory. If you are looking for Excel and SAP training then A+ is not the right choice.

Here's a link to Microsoft webpage about MOS, MOS Expert and MOS Master: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mos-certification.aspx

SAP also do training for their own software. Visit http://training.sap.com for more details.
