I am 47 years old, with a wealth of experience in healthcare. I am a qualified Nurse, Midwife, MBA, 10 years working as a business consultant for the Pharmaceutical sector(my own company). I am financially secure and retiring from the business field...simply because I want a new challenge. I have a good leaving cert, always wanted to be a doctor but didnt apply at the time as I didnt think I would get a good enough leaving cert. I got accepted into nursing straight away and liked the fact I could earn money immediately at the age of 17. I am now seriously considering studying medicine...would love to hear from anyone with experience of doing medicine as a mature student. Is it really tough?
