roadworks in Macroom

    When will it ever end? It is FRUSTRATING and a NIGHTMARE to go through Macroom town.

    In last week lee valley magazine it said
    "The Business people and Residents of Railway View, Macroom have now experienced three years of constant road works in this part of Macroom Town blah blah.
    It is welcome news that the remainder of the works involved with this new water main and also the re surfacing of this part of the road will now take place by night thus opening Macroom Town for business as usual.
    I thought " great it should be easier" but no, still happening especially today.

    Was going to macroom to day thinking it will be ok but it took me 30mins from the old triangle to dunnes and 20 mins back out.

    What l can't understand is, this has been going on for months and there is no diversion signs anywhere except 1 in killarney. Its hard to avoid it if you are going into macroom town but shouldn't there be a better control of the traffic?
