Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Abel Hernandez toHull, great singing for them to replace Long, lots of pace.

all this is why the FFP rules were introduced. Sure, he put all that money in to Monaco, but it looks like he's taking it straight back out again

    He really isnt.
The guy was almost let go on a free 2 seasons ago from Ajax. If it wasnt for Boilesen, their leftback, being so injury prone, Blind would now play for an utrecht or groningen iin Holland.

2 good passes in the WC don't make a player quality, it was the receivers of those passes that made the pass great.

His luck at Utd is, just like at Ajax, there is no fit competition for him.

The receiver of a pass determines its quality? You're having a giraffe. The bitterness of this post is outrageous.

And on your main point, Blind was the Eredivisie's POTY last year. True, he was nearly let go a couple of seasons back, but the lad was only 22 at that stage and had developed a huge amount in the mean time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

United's spending reminds me of the beginning of Perez's second term, all this money to spend but just a complete scatter gun approach.

I think the point being made is that if the player that receives the pass blasts the shot wide, the pass is much quicker forgotten. No slight on the quality of a pass.

The same very nearly happened to Bale in fairness.

Still, the list of people it happened to or nearly happened to contains more Steve Sidwells then it does Gareth Bales.

I suspected it was made up, first I heard of it.

Madrid was his preferred location by all accounts

    Real Sociedad.

Did well when he came on last night v Real Madrid.

He would be a good signing for Villa and leaps and bounds ahead of Cleverley.

He is made of glass though. He was injured more often than healthy at Valencia.

Such a pity, looked a potential world beater at Santander at a very young age.

Falcao apparently said no to Liverpool under pretty much the same terms

    I like him already :)

He didn't fancy playing Champions League, decided he would like a quiet Tuesday and Wednesday evening beside the fire :P

Same story with Blind, Di Maria & Rojo

But sure UTD could never coax players away from the joys of CL football :pac:

Nope we are waiting for Valdes to return to fitness in November apparently. Free agent so we can sign him whenever we want.

The Wellbeck one is a surprise. He is a good player but his finishing is not up to standard. Wenger has fixed that for players before though so it could end up being a great signing.

Surprised to hear United may be letting Welbeck go on loan to Arsenal. I thought it was mentioned they had no plan in letting him go to a rival.

Diame to Hull another great signing for them, going to be even harder to beat at home now the way they set up.

    James Olley on Twitter.
Borini's deal to #QPR: Fee agreed with #lfc - £10m rising to £13m - but wages the issue. Player wants £90k-a-wk. Club offered £58k so far.

I hope it's true about Arsenal activating Huntelaar's release clause. Schalke will be left with only 1 striker and the German window is closed now.

I doubt they would give up £12.5m for him though..

    Arsenal denying any Welbeck deal.

I think he's excellent. Should have arguably won Young Player of the Year in his first season in the league, yet wasn't even nominated. He made Kompany look a lot better than he is.

Most of it going to his owners, I'd imagine.

The deal to Monaco was outright though? I thought he was no longer co-owned bya 3rd party, unless they have some right to his future earnings?

Is there anything concrete to back up the Falcao rumours or is it just Sky making things up?

Ironically, he got injured at the weekend so Stoke have to buy another player now, rumoured to be Assaidi.

Will make for an obvious "The Blind leading the Blind" headline next time they lose.

DiMaria and Falcao show their true colours and move solely for the money
    How sad.
And the media wont crucify them for spending like they would if was Chelsea or City.
Be very glad if they don't get top 4
