I drink a lot of green tea and wouldn’t mind trying green matcha tea for a change.

Dose anyone know where I could buy some in Dublin city centre?

Il Valentino, GCD. There was another thread started on this recently. Also The Journal did a article on the growth of consumption/benefits/stockists etc. sorry, no link to it but it was in the last few weeks.

I got a packet of it - well, a drum of that koyu matcha tea - in the health food shop in GPO Arcade. It's pricey, but definitely gives me a boost.

The honest to goodness Market in Glasnevin hosts a stall that sells it, Tea Pigs:

The Market is only on Saturdays though:

Hi ClubDead, If you drink a lot of green tea and are looking for a change, matcha is not your only option!
    Here are just two possibilities:
Hojicha - a roasted green tea. Completely different taste to green tea it is sweet and nutty and smoky. It's made from bancha leaves so it's not expensive at all. I get mine online but I'd say plenty of asian shops stock it and I remember seeing it once in Wall and Keogh in portobello.
Genmaicha - bancha leaves again but this time mixed with roasted rice. This is probably more like the green teas you are used to but the rice gives it a very distinct flavour. Again - not expensive and easy to find.

    Best of luck.
