Too bad there isn't one page listing the entire sale at once, bit of a pain to click "View More" all the time

I mean, perhaps I'm being greedy wanting War of the Chosen to be 50% or more off but XCOM: Enemy Unknown is only 15% off.

I'm sure everyone has noticed, but Steam Autumn sale is on. Don't know why they don't include the great Marlow Briggs anymore

Contemplating Everspace,Darksiders 2 remastered,Angels Fall First and Vanquish.

Decent discounts on all them but ive not found anything else that really excites or that im gonna buy straight away.

The key sites make it feel like it sale time all year round so not too pushed on impulse buys on steam anymore

Wolfenstein NC and Shadow of War for a shade over €40 for two huge AAA titles each only about 5-6 weeks old and each with good reviews (despite the grind aspect of SOW) is a pretty fecking class haul for the day, regardless of what else is out there.

I got the below message when I put the order through for Wolfenstein:

"Your order has been selected for manual review."

Is that unusual? I never used GamersGate before. The funds have been taken too.

Start with the Dwarfs if you've not played TW before - this was my first one, started with the Empire thinking they looked like the 'main' faction to go with, but they've reasonably complicated mechanics. Dwarfs are more simple, start with the strongest units and in a spot where you can pick up tonnes of settlements while avoiding some of the more diplomatically complicated issues you can get into with the Empire.

It wasn't quite what I hoped it would be, I found sometimes that whole armies in battle would just go wandering off into random positions and formations and that moving groups in formation could be an extremely slow process that often resulted in them just randomly spreading out in a really long, brittle flat line or even go off in different directions to each other entirely. I also didn't really appreciate the computer being able to spawn 5-6 units into an army per turn on easy, AI cheat dynamics like that drive me absolutely up the walls.

All in all though, a good and fun game - but if it's your first TW game be prepared to just do a throwaway game of sorts because unless I missed something there doesn't seem to be any useful guidance/tutorials in game.

I'd recommend the 'settle all settlements' and 'Chaos wait longer' mods by the way (can't remember their exact names).

thanks for the tips. I've had most of the TW games my fav is TW2 and empire. Didnt like the styles of Rome 2 and Shogun 2. Can't wait to play this now I'm a big fan of the warhammer stuff too.

Ah ok, well you're probably good to go then! If I'm right TW:W2 is basically just an updated/world expanding version but I think I read there's some great tie in stuff from having the first and second.
