My yoink was premature - couldn't complete the transaction, and when I went back to the page, there was no buy option. Un-yoink!

I just got sent that XCom offer via email too - it seems to be tied to user accounts and is not a general offer.

My "Season 1" / "400 days" saves are on the Xbox, any idea if Season 2 relies heavily on choices made in those 2?

I didn't think so, I had my saves on PS3 and played season 2 on PC so in a similar boat but to be honest it is such a different story I don't think it matters really.

I imagine it would be limited to some minor dialog changes, rather than an entirely different plot so I guess it's good to go ahead.

Interestingly I have Season 2 ep 1 on my xbox which I got for free so I could always try a playthrough of that vs the PC version of the same and see if anything majorly different happens ;)
