The Evil Within and Evolve are also on sale, any use?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,297 ✭✭✭ionapaul

LOL - this hasn't happened to me in years; almost bought a Lego Batman 3 bundle on Bundlestars, at the last minute went to Steam to check out player reviews. Lucky I did so, as I see the message 'Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is already in your Steam Library', almost made a costly (well, not really) mistake and double-bought!

Am going to grab those new Wolfenstein games from GMG though.

Personally I love The Evil Within, I find it very challenging and I'm only a 3rd of the way through so far. I find myself looking around every nook and cranny trying to find anything I can, generally I'm not a completionist but ammo is seriously scarce so I found myself scavenging a lot and looking for secrets, the level design is great too. There's a lot of stealthy elements too, which I seriously enjoyed, rather than just generic zombie blasting you can sneak up and dispatch them silently.

The trailer shows off a lot of the gameplay pretty well:

It's definitely one of the goriest games I've ever played, and I die just about constantly. So a lot of fun, but also creepy as hell. Somewhere between Resident Evil and Silent Hill with added stealth, the kinda game that would've had 15 year old me ****ting my pants with excitement :p

    Scary **** I believe. That's why I haven't bought it yet.

I'm still scarred after a half play through of Alien

Yeah, I'm scared pretty easily, so I can only manage The Evil Within in short bursts tbh

Its okish not great for patches or the free DLC you have to manually install them.
