i will start my internship as a marketer in a month.And would like to learn how to monitor website traffic and techniques used to increase it. Learn adwords or analytics first?

Learn the basics of SEO maybe. Moz.com has some good stuff for starters. Google itself has some great information on SEO. It seems these days its all about quality content, and more quality content.
