    Can a US citizen open a bank account in Ireland to have funds and cheque writing capability available whilst traveling in Ireland?  If so what is the process and how long will it take to set up this account?

    It may be possible to open a non-resident account for your trip to Ireland. You can request a call back from our New Accounts Team here

    Alternatively, you can call our New Accounts Team from outside the Republic of Ireland on +353 1 4044 034 and a representative will be happy to help you. Our representatives are available 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
