Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That was sore for Suarez, but no way a red card, tbh.

Harsh red, looking at the replay.

Good refereeing from Dowd there, consulting with Gerrard before producing the red.

Will someone explain to Alan smith that it doesn't have to be a clear goal scoring opportunity to be a red?!

Suarez got him sent off with screaming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Suarez is going to be criticised for that red.

    Has to be red

    Maybe less so seeing replay.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Hold on, if the goalie was ahead of Sterling... He's not offside? Or did I dream up that part of the rule?

Edit: I have it assways, I'd say.

There needs to be 2 players ahead of an attacker usually one of those is a goal keeper.

Deserved red. Glad Phil didn't bottle it again.

At least you can admit it. Playacting won the red with ease, was barely a foul.

Lucas yellow - no surprise there. Can't see him featuring much next season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,038 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Shouldn't have been a red, but what the **** was Dummet doing - that weird leap into the air after the challenge was hilarious!

Looked bad at full speed with the player off the ground, when you see the replay which the ref cant then you can see he was off the ground after he made contact

If that kind of challenge is a red card soccer is in big trouble

Also he is out of the Brazil WC squad ,

Or if the ball is ahead of the attacker when played it can't be offside. I'd imagine that is where the confusion is coming from somehow.

    Suarez going mental

No surprise really, his form has been affected by injuries over the last couple of years and he has been making too many rash tackles. Coutinho left out of the squad was surprising.

Fair play to Pellegrini and City. Proud of LFC, massively exceeded expectations, back in CL. Glad to go out on a win.

    lol

And what would it have been had Liverpool won the league on the back of goals from two players they purchased?

Great season. Buy well during the summer and hopefully kick on. Looking forward to the champions league. Pity sky didn't show the players doing the end of season lap.

If you're a Liverpool fan you have to be delighted with the season. Talk of bottling it is nonsensical. Arsenal bottled it, then Chelsea bottled it. Liverpool put in a great run with a young team and made a huge effort, something that could only have been dreamed of start of the season. Im delighted with the team this year apart from 1 or 2 at the back who need moving on. Looking forward to next year.

Do you think he dived or it wasn't sore? It wasn't a red, but it looked bloody sore to me.
