What's/where's the best place to learn how to use photoshop for as practical things as possible (e.g. photoshoping someone into a picture, making a logo with a border around it etc.) I have basic knowledge at the minute in photoshop but want to learn more, particularly for making things like posters and custom logos for them.

    Practical? :)

If you know a bit of the basics have a look at Photoshop TV (or whatever they're calling it now). They are fairly light hearted Video Podcasts done by some of the guys a NAPP. There is also Lynda.com and of course there's loads of tutorials on youtube.

As regards logos, you should look at vector editors like Illustrator.

    EDIT: Here they are: http://kelbytv.com/photoshopusertv/
