Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Does anyone remember the name of a TV series in England of a man who buys a forest and builds a nature reserve in it around his retirement age.....?
He drives up and down from his house and it was filmed like a documentary.

Are you thinking of the BBC documentary called "Bens Zoo"?

It was the original documentary about the man who bought Dartmoor Zoo, eventually became the story behind the Hollywood movie "We Bought a Zoo" starring Matt Damon.

Thanks for the reply but no.

It was a man in his 50s with and beard who lived with his wife.
He drove to this few hundred acres of landhe bought each day

In one episode he dug out a massive lake for wildlife , in a another he put in birds nests around the trees. he also had a hut to hang out in in the forest.

Its about 5 yrs or more ago since it was on.

    Cheers
