are still paying a 5 euro for hoggets up to 23 kg?

sold a few sheep in mart today. A full mouth vendden ram @102. 3 handy sized ewes @€;97 and 45 kg lambs @ €115.

Seen fat ewes bring up to €120 and 119 for tops of lambs.

Roughly what kinda weight were the ewes at €120...must have being good strong sheep?
Big aul Suffolk Wicklow cheviot cross. Definitely 100kg+. They were shorn too. Poor shearer must had a hernia after.

When I hear of ewes making that kind of money in comparison to good factory lambs making the same price or less....it gets me thinking 'What are we getting served as 'lamb' in some restaurants?'!!!!

There was 24 euro difference in two factories for the same weight ewe recently

Lambs averaged 113.50 in the factory Wednesday

Probably a silly question but what's reason for such a price difference?

As that table shows, lamb prices are holding very well this year

Sold 18 Lambs today in Kepak Athleague. They ranged between 19-23 kg @5.50/ kg. I never seen a que like it going in for years. A few people reckoned they are going to start pulling them this week.
