That's probably Sean Kelly mangling the pronunciation!

    Nah twas the English bloke.

Massive crash just there, some of those riders down look hurt :(

    Big crash there.
Was gonna head in to Merrion Square but nice and relaxed on the couch now

Heading into town around 3.30 with a baby & buggy, would it be worth trying to get down near merrion sq for the finish or is there much space left?

With the buggy it'd be a bit of a nightmare. Maybe if you head to somewhere along the quays.

Anyone in Clontarf? What's it like there?Am going to hop in on my bike soon.

It's nice at the moment, but I'd expect showers as there are some darkish clouds pushing in.

Just home from watching them pass just outside Dunleer. The rain was biblical, I can't even describe it, floods running down the road. Hail stones too, absolutely miserable. Big gap to the break off group, looks longer than 4 minutes!

Cheers, or I could ignore social niceties and barge my way through... Decisions decisions :)

There was very good crowd here on Dublin Road seeing them off from Drogheda. Sun was out and kids were having a ball waiting for the peloton to go by and then it started raining! :/

Lead group of four or so riders went by good 5-10 minutes ahead of the rest of the riders. And 100+ riders riding as a single block is just whoa. First time seeing such a thing and it's just crazy. It was then followed by dozens of team back up cars each with tens of thousand of euro worth of equipment.

The whole thing was gone in about 60 seconds, after waiting around for over and hour.

Great crowds now at finish line you can still move slowly down the road. I'm watching the big screen at 25m in the sunshine. Great stuff

Commentator doesn't sound too impressed with the Irish efforts of hosting the race (in the Republic anyway).

Nah he was having a bit of a bitch that businesses didn't decorate their buildings with as much pink as was done in the North earlier

Massive crowd in Malahide at least. Nice sunshine also. Whatever about the lack if hype the crowds have certainly turned up.
