Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Went out to Malahide today to watch the Giro. Did 54m on my bike which I have hardly been on in a year and not done that kind of distance in at least 18 months.

I averaged 25km/ph over and probably less than 20km/ph back with savage winds and legs that wanted to just give up. The stage today was 187km and they averaged 42km/ph.... a slow day!!!!!

Utmost respect for these guys, probably the toughest endurance sport there is.

Was parked up on a nice swooping bend, and I would reckon they easily took it at 35-40km/ph.

My video of the Garmin crash. was literally right beside it when it happened. I tried to help Andre Cardoso up after the crash and get water for him. I tweeted him the video and he reposted to his facebook which was pretty cool.

Also note his Garmin computer falling off, one of my friends seen someone rob it then.

Hadn't got the camera with me myself, so no fancy artsy photos from me unfortunately, but I did grab a quick video of some of the final sprint into Merrion Square from 400m from the finish.

They're actually slowing down at this point as the corner at the end of Westland Row is right in front of them. Some speed.
