No landlord reference

Hi all, question for the landlords - I am shortly going to move house, rent my own out and move into a different property. Never lived anywhere else so have no landlord references, I see most ads are looking for references, any suggestions? Also, anywhere to look for places to rent besides the obvious Daft, Rent etc.?
