    Varley shut the **** up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,969 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

Does Varley question every single penalty awarded against munster?

Matawalu has to be the greatest scrumhalf in the world who can't pass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Varley was giving out about Paulie being stamped on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,935 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    That's frustrating as a neutral.

I bet he could have pinged Glasgow at 50% of the previous rucks in that series of phases for the very same offence so why there?

We only need 6 decent refs every week it is not much to ask for

No, it's not. And if you want to get that then you need to start giving them exposure in games like this, instead of giving the same 2/3 referees every big game every single year.

Utterly useless. He actually cannot pass a ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Glasgow player comes in from an offside position and kicks the ball and nothing??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ah DOC. Come on. That is a big chance gone.

But he can create an attack like that one!

Jaysus these Fijians are great craic for the neutral

There are plenty of big games during the season. The officiating is ruining this game. That's just not good enough for a semi- final.

But his pass to Maitland (if it was even meant for him) killed the momentum!!

And kill it with a mad pass.

He doth giveth and he he doth taketh away.

BBC ALBA handing out the MOTM award a bit prematurely!

I don't think it's ruining the game at all. He's been very inconsistent but I don't think it's affected the scoreboard.

There are big games during the season, and they are given to the big refs as well. I think the semi final stage is a good place for exposure though, a good end of season boost for lesser refs who've done well.

It's ruining it as a spectacle I meant. Although this is a great end to it...

No, obviously not. That would be poor management.

Congratulations to Glasgow, they were the better team.

Fair play Glasgow. Deserved to win if we are honest.

Not looking forward to them coming to Dublin or Belfast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

You know what, fair f-ing play to them. It's great to see the Pro12 final mean so much to someone.

I don't think it ruined it as a spectacle whatsoever. Not even slightly. I'd say his laxness at the breakdown added to it if anything.

Some last 10 mins, Glasgow just held on.

Disappointing but just too much of an ask after too many average performances recently.

Fair play Glasgow. Tournament needs nights like that for the Scottish, indeed the Welsh, regions

Who threw the intercept at the crucial moment?

Better team won but neither Leinster nor Ulster would have been particularly worried about facing either on the basis of that.

Considering this game tonight, I'm even less certain Leinster have what it takes to win the Rabo this year...

At least if Leinster lose we'll get to see a Scottish final, which would be a nice change!
