Hi all, My partner and I both work for the same employer and I have transferred my parental leave to him. What happens if I happen to leave the company before he starts my transferred parental leave or while he is enjoying it? Does he lose it as I would not work in the same employer anymore and would have to go back to…

Hi all,

There is no legal provision in Ireland for transferring parental leave, so it is entirely down to individual company policy. What does it say in your contract and/or the parental leave agreement?
