Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trying to track a bike I used to own: Sligo area

Long story short, I'm trying to track down a bike I sold to a guy in Sligo a couple of years ago - it belonged to my wife at the time.

    It's a fairly easy-to-spot bike: a 1998 Suzuki DF200

Yep, DF, although we know it as a DR200, it has DF written on the tank. It's an oddball Australian version, in Orange, with carriers etc, see pic here:

I have the reg, but won't make it public here for obvious reasons, save that it's " 98 G "

So, if anyone knows who has it, or where it might be now, I'd be interested in hearing from ye as I would like to know if I can buy it back. . Post or PM me here.

All I can tell you is that the day he collected it, he travelled down from Sligo with 2 lads - for the life of me I can't remember what bikes they were on at the time.

We sold it.....3 ? maybe 4 years ago.

Long shot I know, but you never know !

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I was trying to get my workmate to buy it, he had the readies and then his wife bought him a POS Honda VT250C Magna to learn on.
He did the test and failed, then in a fury crashed it on the way home.
Bust his shoulder and has been off bikes since.
If he'd bought the DF he would be able to sell it back to you now!

Just wondering, aaakev, how can you look up a vehicle owner's details without breaching data protection rules?

I wouldn't be too pleased if I owned that bike and found out that my details had been passed to the OP on foot of a post on an online forum, especially if I hadn't bought it from him to begin with.

galwaytt, my post isn't intended to be a reflection on you or your reason for looking for the current owner.
