#Giro My mistake Roche (on Petrov bike) + 1:09

    Was that the lone rider?

    I've watched the Video back:

1st over the Line for Saxo - 209 (pretty clear) Rodgers
2nd - Black Rain Jacket over a white Jersey (so Majka)
3rd- Hard to tell, but Shoes are Red and bodyshape isn't like Roche. Guessing its Petrov from the results page.

If he swapped with Sorenson - He lost 3 minutes
If he swapped with Poljanski - He lost 4:30

Every other eventuality is 10+ minutes. Not good.

Unless the camera missed him coming over. Did it cut away at all?

'The lone rider' ..sounds like a western movie

I guess he came in alone...... with 4 of his teammates in front of him.....so much for being the leader ...I knew they weren't backing him

    Cataldo (1’37”), Niemec (1’57”), Pellizotti

They were all in the same group that slightly split near the finish. You can't say they're not backing him.

Actually looking over yesterday's stage Roche was wearing those Red Shoes.

Might well have been 3rd over the line.

No good that he was dropped from that chase group though.

I can remember him as team leader for ag2r having bike trouble and a team mate cycling past him without stopping. So them gave him a bike and got him back to the group. Sounds like they are backing him to me

    Who were the 4???

    Rogers, Majka.....

Petrov & MCCarthy ....but that was when I thought they were in front of him...now not sure anymore

But still Rodgers could have waited

You standards of backing a leader are quite low really,- do we give him a bike or not :D

    Fúck:
RT @tinkoff_saxo: Now, finally official: Majka lost 49 seconds on today's chaotic #Giro stage. However, Roche lost 15 minutes.

Apart from getting off the bike and pushing him home while leaving majka who has already 11 seconds on Roche to fend for himself I can't see what else they could do.

McCarthy - the fella that did the Kittel selfie? Good on him, hope people will get off his back a little now.

It seems that Roche came in at 1'09. Why did he lose 20 seconds?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,363 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

I'd be pretty pissed if I were him, and the whole fúcking team finished without him.

Otherwise It might be an injury, or a series of mechanical difficulties.
