Not sure about the first 2 but Mortans definitely won't be open after 7.

You'll probably be hard pressed to find that since bakers tend to make the bread in the morning, so even if they're open they'll probably be sold out.

I've started making my own recently and it's not hard. I've very little bread making experience and even my first loaf turned out nice. It takes about a week to get a starter going, or just find someone that already has one going and they'll probably be happy to give you some.

Joyce's (Knocknacarra) stock Rye Sourdough and Spelt Sourdough bread from The Happy Loaf.

I've tried both a few times and they are very filling and have quite a 'tangy' taste.

    From their website:
I specialise in Organic Sourdough breads, made from flour, spring water a tiny pinch of salt and some seeds on top for decoration. Absolutely nothing else is added to the bread. We have the same starter dough strain since 1983.

Marks and Spencer have a San Francisco-style sourdough bread, it's very mild compared to proper sourdough breads though.
The Friendly Fermenistas do amazing organic sourdough breads, but you can only get them at the markets in Moycullen and Tuam.

I see McCambridges opens later in the evening later in the week - will check them out. Didn't think of Sheridans, I've actually never been in.

    Probably something I'll try alright.

Tried Lidl - didn't spot anything.

Yeah I read a review of this online this morning - think it got a 4/10.

Re sourdough bread: I bake my own, too.

    Started off with this recipe:

    http://www.riotrye.ie/common-loaf/

Give it a try, the bread keeps well and can be frozen, too. I have since progressed to more adventurous breads.

Looking to make a visit to a GP in or around the city as I haven't been in a good while (just a general check-up, nothing fancy). Is there any differences between the various clinics? Or one you'd recommend? I've kind of noted Whitehall, Galway Bay Medical Centre and Corrib Medical Centre, any others? Maybe they're all pretty much the same...

I tried that recently and the taste and texture were nowhere near proper sourdough. IMO it's one step up from white sliced pan.

Griffins do a nice sourdough but you won't get it at 7pm.

Judy Greene's has the secrid wallets leather and metall or just metall, if that's what you mean. Mine is over a year old and my husband's nearly three years old and they are as good as new.

Dunnes do....or at least used to do wallets with RFID shielding.

Moth traps ? Anyone seen them anywhere? I think they're like the sticky paper people used to use for trapping flies.

I've noticed loads outside where I live and apparently some people have them inside. I'm not taking any chances!

What are you worried about? They're harmless besides Mothra of course.

Are you afraid of butterflies as well? Doubt it.

Anyone know where I can get a cardboard box, big enough to put two double quilts and a 6 slice toaster in?
The box sets I see on sale dont have the size I need.

Get vacuum bags for the duvets, then you get away with a smaller box.

Harmless indeed, except for the ones that infest your house and eat holes in your natural fibres.
A few neighbours have told me they have issues with them in the house. It sounds fun, constant hoovering to stay on top of things that look like "grains of rice", some sort of cocoon I imagine, and tiny caterpillars. Apparently this summer has seen a big spike in infestations. I've no idea if they're the ones that fly around outside but it seemed coincidental 2 people here suddenly have an issue. I'm not taking the chance. :)

No fun at all at all. I have them here at the moment. Got a new top 2 weeks ago and it's already been eaten quite a bit. Little skinny brown feckers, they love the clothes. Trying to kill them, which seems so very wrong, just want them out of the house. Not harmless at all.

Plagued by moths lately! Don't care if the eat all my clothes, but they "bug" the hell out of me. Glad I'm not the only one - well, I don't wish it on anyone else, but I thought I was doing something weird to be targetted.

Apparently, infestations of them are up by 200- 300% in Ireland in the last few months... so it's a "thing" at the moment.
I'll admit to being a bit freaked out by the thought of them, particularly eating my clothes...and curtains and sofa and never ever going away which apparently they're also fond of. :)
Dousing your house in lavender oil is supposed to be good from dissuading them from calling your place home and stopping them going into your wardrobe.
