Now that I think of it they were actually really similar.

The whole end sequence of the Deathly Hallows reminds me of the end of Macbeth..

Anyone up for a Shakespearean HP remake? :)

You're mad for the HP :pac:

    How about this then,

Fleance's parents were killed by Lord Macbeth,
Fleance has to live with his cousins, the "Siwards".
One day, some witches arrive, claiming to be "weird sisters". They give Fleance magic powers and a wand for some reason.
    The Siward's ridicule Fleance's magic.
Fleance head's off to "Dunsinane college of Witchcraft and Wizardry"
He become's friends with young Macduff, a kind ginger boy a cousin of the Macduff family tragically killed by Macbeth some years ago.
He also becomes friends with .. Hermioneth, a girl that I have no clue how to link in to Macbeth.
Over his six years he learns magic, and manages to kill Macbeth.
He becomes king, as the witches proclaimed.

But who will be Dobby, and Draco and Pofessor McGonigal and Neville and your story is just falling apart at the seams here -_-

It's all in Book 2, sorry I thought you were more familiar with the Macpotter series, clearly not :o

    Dobby is the porter
Draco is Macduff's son, also called Draco (his brains are dashed out)
Prof. McGonigal is the culmination of every character in Macbeth cos she's Scottish. I assume.

Just noticed thelad95 has disappeared off here without a trace. Perhaps it's a signal that he's copped on after taking it too lax last year and we just haven't realised we're taking it too lax. I think that's definitely a possibility, I feel I'm doing less now than I was doing in November.
