You can hardly call it a holiday if I'm taken to a different country almost every summer, against my will, and have to live an uneventful solitary life for 7 weeks :P

And the worst part, my relatives will come to see me and I might have to talk to them :(

    Go to a beach :D

edit: I actually empathise btw.....I turned down going on Holiday with my family this year cause I knew it would be something similar to what youve described

I'm leaving right after the LC :(

Used to swim a lot in TY, I had a problem where every single muscle in my lower body was fecked :pac: And swimming was good cos it was the only excercise that didn't do further damage. That's when I gained the 4 or 5 kilo. Hopefully I can do it again in college.

Sleep? I have 2 years of maths to cover.

    Mandatory Macbeth quote:

Methough I heard a voice cry "Sleep no more!"

Macbeth does murder sleep,’ the innocent sleep,
Sleep that knits up the ravell’d sleave of care,
The death of each day’s life, sore labour’s bath,
Balm of hurt minds, great nature’s second course,
    Chief nourisher in life’s feast.

Learning all the soliloquies was great for bulking up the answers! :pac:

The temptation to just put the book away and watch GoT live is almost irresistable.

Randy, I feel like every time I even look at a duplicate thread or offensive post, you're right there to lock it or ban someone. I don't even have to tell you, I just have to look at it :p

That's the term I was trying to think of, not minority languages. Lord knows, no-one could accuse Russian of being a minority language!

Don't oppress them too much or the tanks will start rolling in :pac:

    Ah the "leaving cert stone".

The biggest downfall of repeating is that you multiply it by 2 :P

Ah sure a stone or two won't do any harm :p

So I'm 100% sure I'm going to fail Irish and do not need it for College or CAO purposes, am I safe in just not going to the centre during the exam times?

i.e. is failing the exam the exact same as not showing up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 910 ✭✭✭little sis...

I thought some of the questions there could have easily appeared on the HPAT... what an awful paper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,784 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Seems to be a massive divide in both HL and OL as to whether it was easy or difficult.

If you're not going to show up you have to ask them to take it off your CAO form, i think, not sure though :pac:
