    Ah yeah but everyone's different.

I don't feel people shoud have to apologise for this in reason, everyone's different. Like I've been annoyed about getting 'only 70%' in a Physics test, but there are people who'd be delighted with 70% in Ordinary Physics.

Yeah I'm like that, I've cried before for getting a D in Maths :pac:

French is sooooo much easier than Irish!
I do OL Irish and am a fairly average ordinary student (ie c/d)

But I pick up and remember French so much easier... I thought you were either bad at languages or good at them

What that is is the fact that French is sooooooooo similar to English, whereas for Irish the grammar constructs are different, the verbs do weird tense-things, there isn't a verb for 'have' ....
french has some weird things too, but way fewer.

I swear to god, I learned more Irish in the naíonra than I did in my next 10 years of formal education. I've only had one Irish teacher who was reasonably able to teach it, thank god I had her for the LC ...

Wouldn't mind 70% in physics!!!! The exam is so hit and miss for me, i fail some class tests, 100% in others... as my teacher said.. it's an awful pity I spent most of the year with my head up my arse

I managed to waste a class once discussing whether Jimmy is Protestant :pac:

He definitely is! I mean, Margaret? Elizabeth? James (Jimmy)?
    :pac:

Shh shh shh no is cuma linn faoin reiligiuin Jimmy mar is gnathfearr é, blah blah blah, universal themes.
Lets ignore that its Belfast during the troubles and his daughters' names are Margaret and Elizabeth.

Well, essentially, seasann Jimmy do na gathdaoine neamhurchoideacha i mBeil Feirste le linn na dtriobloidi and he dies suddenly at the end indicating cruatan an shaoil aaaaaand then go on about how this is a universal theme even though it actually really very specific (???)

other than that its just treithe Jimmy - he's basically the bom-diggidy, fear clainne, duine tuisceannach, grámhar, cara dilis, etc etc

Is that one of those optional ones? :/

I don't think so? Its in with Dís and Caca Milis (which I should really go watch now ew) - one comes up and you have to write on it.

I'm sure those three crudely Google translated phrases will really help him attain his D2

My Irish teacher is a dope, she always gives me C's and the one time I used google translate she gives me an A1. But I get my grinds teacher to look at the essays and she always marks them the opposite. :pac:

We can sneer but a lesser eejit might well use that for a subject where the internet can be a much greater help. Bit worrying.
