I can change instantly, be careful. I could be like this:

    -OMGGG accounting is sooo hard.
-If only somebody told me before I picked it I'd actually have to work to do well in this subject?? Who would of thought that possible?
-It's as though the amount of time you put into this subject is directly proportional to how good you are at it, how's that fair???
-I can't cram this subject, there's like 15 different types of accounts???
-My teacher is soooo bad, accounting definitely isn't a subject that at all depends on how much work the student puts in. It's his/her fault.
-WHAT THE HELL DOES A SUSPENSE ACCOUNT DO??

I'm done being sarcastic for the day now.

    The 'Emily Dickinson' of accounting.
So predicted and expected, it's almost 'guaranteed'.
And it can be a pain, but can also be nice.
UNLESS THEY THROUGH SOMETHING NEW AT YOU THAT HAS NEVER COME UP BEFORE BUT IS ON THE SYLLABUS.
    But yeah, totally nice...

For cashflow, make an acronym for the headings. I think it's something like ORTCEMF. Only Really something something Effectively Manage something. Replace the somethings with something you'll remember beginning with those letters.

As to question 5, I don't do it thankfully.

I'm not sure, but I can do all of the ones in the papers and they just seem to be repeating in latter years. What was the latest new thing? That Rent that you had to split between balance sheet and P+L?

Only Really Top 'Countants effectively manage finances

I like Dickinson, hate suspense accounts though.

Q5 is probably the nicest on the paper, 50 marks for 5 ratios that take all but 10 minutes!

I believe the other parts of the question are harder marked though, that's why we didn't do it.

We did it and were told not to do it in the exam if youre aiming for an A or B1 but definitely do it if your aiming for a B2 B3 or C

You didnt do it? That is craaazy!! I hate it but id be stupid not to cover it. If youre not retarded youll get at least 70 marks on it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,784 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

It's also the only guaranteed question on the paper

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

Yeah, Aspiring, that's crazy. It's simple, I can't believe you didn't do it.
