    Did anyone get the first letter from SUSI after you apply online? What did ye tick off on the form that had the boxes to tick and send to them? Did ye tick all of them?

    I got the letter, I didn't tick the final acceptance course form box. I just said CAO share details?

    I'm sending it back soon and all I have ticked is declaration form and financial details. The bank account is entered online so can be added at a later date I think/hope and for the final acceptance form I'm going to fill that out when i accept a place.

    I only ticked them two boxes too. For the bank account one i wrote online beside it. That is what I'm going to do with the final acceptance form too. I hate filling out these forms, uggh!

    I don't get it either tbh.

    I reckon a lot of people go for it just because they know they can get 600 points as opposed to actually wanting to work in medicine :p

    What can you get out of medicine anyway? Is it to become a GP or a surgeon or what? :p

    Yes, you do get the odd one who go for it because they can, and haven't thought it through, but believe me, most are very passionate about it!!

    All of the above, and more. Every type of doctor starts with the basic medicine course, and specialise thereafter!

    Judging from one of the Grads I know he wanted to do medicine because he genuinely wanted to help people. Mostly stemming from those closest to him
    One girl I know well in NUIG was raised by pharmacists so thats where she got a taste of medicine. Wanted to pursue it further and work in the field
