We are looking to expand our crew and train to move from white sails to Class 1 in a 34.7 in Dun Laoighire.

We are looking for crew to do mastman, and bowman.

We race Thursday evenings, Saturday afternoons in the summer, and will also be doing Cork week in July.

I could be interested, but I can only do Thursdays, 15 month old twins at home so wouldn’t be fair on wife. Hope that’s ok with you and you think I’ve enough experience to pull it off.

Sailed to the Sillies in 2001, more renascent I’ve crewed in Bray on my father in laws boat for a season. I’ve also done two Ariane’s Cups http://oscar.bp.pagesperso-orange.fr/index.htm One in France with lots of wind and good racing. One in Greece where the wind died at noon each day till sundown. I’ve only flow a spinnaker three or four times, including getting halyard it stuck and not being able to get it down after the race with 100 boats around us looking on. I’ve no problem tacking and jibing or operating the main sheet. I’ve always used a furling head sail so I’ve never had to do sail changes. I’m quick to learn and comfortable on boats in rough weather.

Oh and off to Galway at the end of June to race hookers to the Aran Islands – looking forward to that!

If you need somebody both days or with more experience no harm done, if you want PM me your number and we can talk.
